The Dan Moscatiello Grant 2025 provides a financial award to help one student advance their education. Below are the details of this grant award:
- Grant Amount: $1,000 to the single selected winner. This is a one-time grant (not a recurring scholarship), awarded for the 2025 academic cycle.
- Purpose of Funds: The $1,000 grant is intended to offset educational costs. The recipient can use the funds toward tuition fees, required textbooks, class materials, or other expenses directly related to their education. By alleviating part of the financial burden, the grant allows the student to focus more on academic and community pursuits.
- Payment Process: Once the winner is confirmed and enrollment is verified, the grant funds will be distributed. Typically, a check will be issued in the student’s name or the funds will be sent directly to the student’s university financial aid office, depending on the student’s preference and school requirements. - Impact: While the monetary value is $1,000, the impact of the Dan Moscatiello Grant goes beyond the dollar amount. It stands as a recognition of the student’s hard work, dedication, and community spirit. Winners can list this grant on their resume or academic CV as an honor, and they become part of the Dan Moscatiello Grant community – a network of like-minded individuals who value education and positive impact
This grant is a non-renewable, one-time award. However, Dan Moscatiello intends to continue offering similar opportunities in the future. Students who are not selected this year are encouraged to apply again in subsequent years if they remain eligible. The ultimate goal of the Dan Moscatiello Grant is to continually support and uplift students who show promise in their academics and in their commitment to making the world a better place.
- Essay Question
Applicants for the grant are required to write a thoughtful essay responding to the following prompt (approximately 500 words):
"Describe a community service experience or project you have been involved in and explain how it has inspired you to make a positive impact on your community or industry in the future. "
This prompt is an opportunity to highlight your community involvement, leadership, or any initiative outside of your coursework. Be specific about your role and what you learned. The essay should also convey how you intend to continue fostering positive change moving forward. A clear, genuine essay will help the selection committee understand your values and motivation.
